we got lucky in december! it was freezing but we had sun, and no rain! i had so much fun with the this cute family. amazingly polite, sweet children. i could feel the special love and bond they have with their mom, and how much she adores them. here are just a few faves of mr. blue eyes and miss lucy!

oh to be two again...with a huge smile, blue eyes & blonde ringlet curls! watch out mom & dad, you might have your hands full in a few years! this little chica kind of reminds me of me when i was little, very independent and knows exactly what she wants. nothing wrong with that right?

i don't have girls so when i get the chance to take photos of girls i l-o-v-e it! the girly clothes, fun accessories, the ringlet curls...they are so precious and yet i am so glad that i won't have to endure high school years with a teenage girl! mainly because i would be a nervous wreck, for YEARS! anyway, these cuties are my friend alena's and i feel like they have become my surrogate daughters after only knowing them a short time...:-)

jeni asked me to take a few maternity photos for her before their little muffin arrives (any day now!)...this is their first baby. chris and jeni have been married for over 10 years so a little anxious to see how this little girl their cookin up will change their lifestyle. what? children change your lifestyle?!? oh...i don't even remember what i did with all my time before kids!! we talked about enjoying every minute of each other right now because those first few months you tend to forget about each other as the babies needs take over for awhile. i can't wait to do their newborn photos soon and meet baby cece....

what the heck? summer has been sooo busy! i don't know what is going on but i seem to have no time for MY STUFF (ya know, important stuff like blogging & facebook & reading everyones else's blogs & my continued learning of photography!)... keeping these boys of mine entertained is a lot of work! i took these pics in june in hopes of a fun 4th of july post and fun prints for their parents but that has long gone. so here are some fun ones of my neighborhood monkeys. this was all in about 15 min. as gracie's allergies kicked in high gear and we got kicked off this property from some grumpy old lady :-)

i had such a FUN time last week shooting my first senior! this gorgeous young gal is so sweet & innocent (was i feeling old? yes!!)...she's really into doing make-up/hair/styling, I think she would be great and could style some shoots for me someday! her fave show? America's Next Top Model, oh and American Idol (but isn't that everyone's)?

my friend amber & i went to college together at montana state, we met through our mutual friend miki. her family moved to oregon so she finished up her degree at oregon state. after i graduated i talked to amber about wanting to move somewhere and try someplace new. had i ever been to oregon? (no). sounded pretty and amber said she could find us an apartment, (sounds good). so she calls me a week or so later saying "i found us an apartment!" so i packed up my u-haul and road tripped to oregon to find a job and check out another state for awhile! it was st. patricks day 1995. i don't think i ever planned to stay here but here we both are, married, both have 2 boys and are still great friends! she lives in vancouver and i am in salem but i am still glad i have a fellow montana friend not too far away. sometimes life takes you on an adventure and you just have to enjoy the ride....

...and i can cry if i want to. but i won't, because i am a big boy now! here is mister cole, my friend katie's son. i am loving these blue eyed little boys. cole was very interested in checking out his surroundings, wasn't sure what to think of being out in this long grass...? we started off with 5 orange balloons and in no time had ONE. every time the wind would blow it would pop one on the grass! there was a lot to choose from for this little cutie but here is a couple of my faves. enjoy your little man katie & brian!

oh yes...the team greg is coaching got the red sox for a team name!! the ONLY team greg (i will say) "highly dislikes"! too funny. and it's only t-ball so he ok with it. but whenever trey's team plays, the real yankees seem to lose?!?! is it an omen? so today, trey has a game at 1pm. and the real yankees play the real red sox at 1pm....?

but aren't trey & gracie dang cute in their uniforms?

i got to take photos this last weekend for my friend elizabeth & her cute family. their little boy turned one! such a big milestone (for the parents too!)...one is such a great age. just starting to walk and figure things out but still loves you to death and can't talk back yet :-) everyone says times goes so fast and before ya know it your kids are grown up and off to college. so i hope times slows down a bit and you have these photos to remember your cute little blue eyed boy! i loved so many but narrowed it down to these six...

baseball starts this saturday! cam is doing AA again trey will be doing t-ball! that should be quite comical to watch. :-) i love cam's uniform color this year. his basketball shirt this year was this wretched cream/brownish color (ick) - just not flattering on anyone, so i was excited when he got this Royals blue! makes for much prettier pictures. he could care less of course. and just WAIT till you see what team trey is!! if you know greg, he is MORTIFIED, and he's the COACH! any guesses?? (hint: navy & red)

can you tell i've been dying to shoot something?? (with my camera, not a gun)...that i've reverted to taking pictures of oranges? the oregon weather has not been doing what i'd like, so i thought these lovely oranges would make nice models today (they were great by the way - so bright & cheery). yesterday was gas pumps. i'll post some of those next. what will tomorrow be?? (maybe bananas: B-A-N-A-N-A-S)?

i had the best time with gina on wednesday! i had this idea and thought she would be my perfect model...so we threw this whole thing together in one day since we had good weather! so...while our kindergarteners were in school for 2.5 hours and gina's baby was napping...this is what happens when moms have a little extra time on their hands! did i mention how fun it was to have a model that does what you want them to??? the best eva...! thanks for playing with me gigi!

here are a couple photos of my BFF toni's miss emma. she was soooo good and is turning ONE this weekend! i fully believe the one year birthday party is a celebration for the parents on surviving that first year. its so hard, such a big life change but we all make it through when each day seems like an eternity then we wish we could rewind and do it all over again slower, remembering each moment just a little bit more...here's to you t & w, you did it! now for #2!
